Our Process
Our installation process is specifically designed to provide all of our clients with a high-quality customer service experience.
There are five main phases of our proven installation process:
- Consultation
Many homeowners take months to decide on the right type of hardwood floor for their home. If you wish, our experts will meet with you at your home or our showroom to assist you in selecting the hardwood floor that fits your needs.
We can help you evaluate your home’s interior and outline an initial floor design for you to consider. If you desire any edits or revisions, we will happily meet your requests.
Once your floor design is approved, our experts will help you into the next phase of our installation process.
- Preparation and Installation
Once you are happy with your design, we will begin collecting the materials necessary for installation. We are responsible for gathering the required materials and shipping them to your home.
We will remove your home’s old flooring, properly dispose of old materials, and lay down the prep work for your new floors. Once this is done, installation can begin!
- Sanding and Finishing
Some of our floors arrive at your door prefinished. In this case, installation leads straight into the inspection phase of our process.
However, if you wish your new hardwood floors to be site finished, we will gladly do so using our Bona, dustless sanding system.
- Inspection
First and foremost, we know how important it is to our clients that we adequately clean up after ourselves when the installation is complete.
Once we efficiently clean up our mess, we will perform one last inspection to make sure that your installation meets the Smith Bros Standards.
- Follow Up
At Smith Bros, we firmly believe that our service does not end once your new hardwood floors are successfully installed and inspected. We want you to know that we will always be available as a resource if you have any questions or concerns about your new hardwood floors.
We will also follow up with you after your floors are installed to make sure you are satisfied with your new hardwood floors. We are always open to feedback that helps us improve our already high quality customer service.
