It’s that time of year again, the Christmas season is here! The holidays are a great time for everyone to get together, spread holiday cheer, and give to those in need. This year, just like every year, Smith Bros. Floors decided to take part in giving back to those in need. Representing us this year, was Paul Smith & Kent Archer (co-owners of Smith Bros. Floors).

Paul volunteered his time at The Calgary Drop-In Centre, in the East Village of Calgary. The Drop-In Centre, an incorporated, non-denominational, non-profit, charitable organization, has been receiving recognition in the homeless sector since 1961. Their mission is to provide shelter, food, clothing, health and personal care services. They also provide education programs and affordable housing solutions to those in the process of getting back on their feet.

Kent took part in two separate activities this season. He volunteered his time as a ski instructor, teaching a group with special needs. And, if you check out the photos below, you’ll also see him singing in the holiday favourite, Handel’s Messiah. A performance put on by the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Choir, featuring an amazing cast of soloists and Chorus.

2013 was an amazing year, filled with growth, fun times, amazing clients and new adventures. And so, from all of us here at Smith Bros. Floors, we’d like to wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
